Well, it's been fun but I believe this is probably gonna be my last xanga post ever.  I'm just not really feeling the internet blogring thing so much anymore and since I don't find the time to read or post too often anyway it only seems like a logical choice.  Much love to all and there's always my phone if you need me.

It's been a while since I updated so I figured it was about time I did.  Life lately has been absolutely amazing, save for a few strange happenings.  The Lord has done more in my life and heart recently than I think I've ever seen Him do before and for the first time I'm really starting to come to grips with what a hard but amazingly joyful sacrifice it takes to live solely for His glory.  It's a beautiful thing.  He's good.  Ok, so on Wednesday night I was going to the Love Feast at Southern Heights United Methodist Church to do a survey for the Mission of Hope.  On the way there I missed my turn and shortly afterwards definitely plowed straight into an old man's dog...with him standing in the yard watching the whole thing.  Guys, I can't remember a time I've ever felt more terrible.  Just to clear up any confusion, I was not at fault and the man confirmed that.  The dog ran out onto the road when I was about 5 feet away from it, thus giving me hardly any time to stop.  I have had some really good times this week though.  I've hung out with the Beta guys more this week than I have in a while and it's been sweet.  So to recap, God is good and hitting old men's dogs isn't.  Much love to you all and hit me up with any prayer requests you may have.

I had to make Sir Charles:

my pet!

I was thinking about Christmas when I was trying to fall asleep on Christmas night.  It occurred to me how much I take it for granted and miss out on the beauty and importance of it all.  I found myself sitting around in boredom after the presents were unwrapped and the pies had been eaten (mmmmm yummy pies).  The true magnificence of Christmas didn't hit me when getting all my new stuff, it didn't even hit me when I saw others open the gifts I had gotten them.  Though warmth filled my heart and gratefulness was spread around I still didn't feel it.  Christmas became real to me at 3:00 in the morning as I walked quietly down the stairs to go get some milk.  As I walked through the living room that's when it hit me.  The dim glow of the lights casting dancing shadows upon the wall, the hint of pine flowing through the room, the lingering warmth of loving hearts united in joyful expression, the full moon blazing brightly on the silent yard.  The stillness and quietness took me in and made me captive to them.  That's when Christmas became real.  The presents, all gone.  The music, stilled.  The food, settling.  The love and grace, enriching.  The memory of a man who stepped down from a throne of glory into the swaddling clothes of an infantile Gallilean for the sake of one such as myself...that's where the spirit of Christmas indwells.  May that humility dominate my life everyday that I live, and that kindness be shown in and through me.  Merry Christmas and God bless you all.

Well, it's Thursday night and I'm sitting at work.  Finals week is no fun...except for pancakes, oodles and oodles of pancakes, for free!  I would like to wish everyone a happy pancake week and a Merry Christmas to all.  I hope that for this pancake week everyone is feeling in the spirit of the season.  Dream of maple syrup rivers and buttery fluffy ski slopes.  Imagine building a pancake man, then a pancake woman, then a whole little pancake family.  Before long you'll have an entire pancake civilization...and you will be the ruler of them all.  Live in your pancake mansion with your pancake servants and soak up the riches of being the lord of the pancakes.  What a great life.  The best thing is if they get out of line, all you have to do is threaten them with your mighty fork of justice.  Yeah, that's where it's at...the justice fork.  If I had one of those I would go to the student union and eat pancakes.  Pancake week is great.  I love you all, and may God bless you as you travel and go to spend the Holidays with loved ones.

Today's Words of Pure Genius: When given a choice between Santa and Super Santa, I'd rather get presents from Super Santa.

Wow, it's been  quite a while since I posted.  It seems as if I've basically fallen off of the world and have just come back to it...but the good news is I'm back!  I had a nice trip too, I guess.  Ok so the other day I was driving back from the airport on a cool autumn's eve.  The sun was setting off to my right, it's softened yet speckled hues of orange and red.  That's when I chanced to notice something very beautiful but quite unexpected.  Imagine if you will...a fully grown cow frollicking as if it were a calf at play.  This large awkward animal bouncing around the pasture with udder following suit awakened my sense of humor to a state of bliss.  Life is funny.  Sometimes it takes a bounding bovine to remind me but it really is funny.  So with tests, papers, and shortly finals coming up...remember to be the cow.  Don't let your udder of pressure and grades weigh you down.  If this has made absolutely no sense at all that's ok.  Once I finally get some sleep it probably won't make sense to me either.

Today's Words of Pure Genius: First you take some hand sanitizer, and then you take a phone chord, put them both together and you won't have anything significant but you can at least sanitize your new phone chord.
